Anthony Slater

Anthony Slater has a diverse work experience in the field of education and wellness. Anthony started their career as a Camp Counselor for the City of Jackson in 2013. In 2015, they worked as a Wellness Trainer at NMMC-Wellness Center and concurrently served as a Health Fitness Specialist at EXOS|MediFit until 2017. Anthony then joined Optum (formerly Alere Wellbeing) as an Exercise Specialist from 2017 to 2018. In 2018, they transitioned to the University of Mississippi Medical Center and worked as an Exercise Specialist until 2019. Currently, they are employed as a Teacher at Jackson Public Schools, starting from 2019.

Anthony Slater obtained a Bachelor's Degree in Kinesiology- Health Fitness Studies, as well as a Bachelor of Science (BS) in Kinesiology and Exercise Science from Mississippi State University. Following their undergraduate studies, they pursued a Master of Education (MEd) in Secondary Education and Teaching at Jackson State University.
