Andrew Breiner

Andrew Breiner is in his first season with the Jaguars as the assistant quarterbacks' coach. Breiner spent last season as Florida International University's offensive coordinator and wide receivers coach. Prior to his stint at FIU, Breiner spent the 2020 season on Doug Pederson's staff in Philadelphia as the passing game analyst. In 2020, QB Carson Wentz threw for 2,620 yards and 16 TDs while rookie QB Jalen Hurts threw for 1,061 yards and six TDs. Breiner spent two seasons (2018-19) as the passing game coordinator and quarterbacks coach at Mississippi State, where, in 2018, QB Nick Fitzgerald completed 145-of-281 passes for 16 touchdowns with nine interceptions as a senior. He was responsible for 29 TDs (13 rushing, 16 passing) and led all FBS quarterbacks in 100-yard rushing games with seven.

Before Mississippi State, Breiner spent six seasons (2012-17) at Fordham University. From 2016-17, he was the head coach after serving as the offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach. During his head coaching tenure, he compiled a 12-10 record. Under Breiner's guidance in 2016, Fordham ranked fourth in the FCS in total offense (498.2 yards per game) and scoring offense (40.1 points per game), while the Rams were 10th nationally and second in the Patriot League in passing efficiency (156.0). As Fordham's offensive coordinator from 2012-15, the Rams ranked in the top 10 of the FCS in nearly every category. In 2015, the Rams led the Patriot League and were ninth nationally in scoring (36.8 points per game) and led the league and were second in the FCS in passing efficiency (168.30).

Breiner spent three seasons (2009-11) with the University of Connecticut as a graduate assistant and was part of a staff that helped lead the Huskies to the 2010 Big East Championship and an appearance in the 2011 Tostitos Fiesta Bowl. Prior to his time with the Huskies, he worked as the wide receivers coach (2007) and quarterbacks coach (2008) at Allegheny College. Breiner began his coaching career at Lock Haven University, his alma mater, in 2006 as a wide receivers coach. He played wide receiver at Lock Haven from 2003-06 and was a four-year letter winner.
