Kelsea Merriweather

Kelsea Merriweather is the Vice Chairperson at JACOA. Kelsea was previously an Human Resources Intern at The Carlstar Group from April 2016 to June 2016 and at AutoZone from April 2015 to April 2016. At AutoZone, they planned and conducted new employee orientation to foster positive attitude toward company goals, trained management in interviewing, hiring, terminations, promotions, performance review, safety, and sexual harassment training, and assisted in the development and implementation of human resources policies and programs for the Distribution Center. Kelsea also ensured compliance with regulatory laws for Federal and State such as EEO, OSHA / Safety, Worker's Compensation, Unemployment, FMLA and FLSA. Kelsea was responsible for recruiting for all open positions, which included sourcing, screening, interviewing, on-boarding new hires and processing all new hire paperwork. Lastly, they administered all leaves of absences; distributed and collected necessary paperwork, employee communications, benefits maintenance and leave tracking.

Kelsea Merriweather has a Masters of Business Administration in Human Resources Management from Bethel University's College of Professional Studies. Kelsea also has a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from The University of Memphis, as well as an Associate of Science in Psychology from Jackson State Community College.
