Adam Woodrow Nathanson is an experienced adult education professional with a diverse background in workforce development, literacy instruction, and community engagement. Currently serving as the Adult Education Program Coordinator at Community Impact at Columbia University, Nathanson manages programs for learners pursuing ESOL and High School Equivalency credentials while coordinating community partnerships. As a Citizenship Instructor at Jacob A. Riis Neighborhood Settlement, Nathanson develops a multilevel curriculum and teaches students about the naturalization process. Previous roles include online facilitating and training for adult educators at the Virginia Adult Learning Resource Center, reentry support at John Jay College, and leadership positions in various educational settings, including the Virginia Department of Corrections and Richmond Public Schools. Nathanson holds a Master’s Degree in Adult Learning with a focus on Adult Literacy from Virginia Commonwealth University.
