Kathy Powell

Kathy Powell has a diverse range of work experience. Kathy is currently serving as an Associate Director of Strategic Sourcing & Procurement at Jaguar Gene Therapy since April 2021. Prior to that, they worked as a Strategic Sourcing & Procurement Manager at Novartis Gene Therapies from February 2019 to April 2021. In this role, their responsibilities included developing and executing strategies for complex and high-impact commercial and HEOR categories, managing vendor relationships, and driving savings.

Before joining Novartis, Kathy worked at Melinta Therapeutics as a Project Lead / Finance & Commercial Ops from September 2013 to December 2018. During their time there, they managed various projects such as the Sales Fleet Program and Global Alliance Agreements, involving budgeting, contract management, and reporting development costs.

Prior to that, Kathy worked at CDW as a Finance - Commissions Analyst & Auditor from February 2011 to September 2013. Kathy also has experience in the insurance industry, where they worked at Allstate as a Sr Financial Analyst from October 1997 to February 2011 and as a Staff Claims Adjuster from April 1988 to October 1997.

Kathy Powell received their Bachelors of Science degree in Business/Marketing from Northern Illinois University in 1987. Kathy then pursued an MBA with a specialization in Finance at Roosevelt University from 1991 to 1995. In 2005, Kathy attended the Lake Forest Graduate School of Management, where they completed a program in Consulting and Analytics as well as another program in Analytics & Consulting, both in Business Administration and Management.
