Michael Hughes

Michael Hughes has work experience in the field of gene therapy and research. Michael is currently the Director of Research at Jaguar Gene Therapy, a position they have held since December 2022. Prior to this, they served as the Associate Director of Research at the same company from June 2020 to December 2022. Before joining Jaguar Gene Therapy, Michael worked at UCL from February 2014 to April 2020. At UCL, they held the position of Postdoctoral Research Associate from March 2017 to April 2020 and was a PhD Researcher from February 2014 to March 2017.

Michael Hughes completed their Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree in Biomedical Sciences, General at UCL from 2007 to 2010. Michael then pursued a Master's of Research (MRes.) degree in Biomedicine at UCL from 2010 to 2011. In 2011, they attended the University of Shanghai for Science and Technology, where they obtained a HSK Chinese Proficiency Level 3 certification in Chinese Language, completing their studies in 2012.
