Juan Sebastian Ontiveros Gonzales

Juan Sebastian Ontiveros Gonzales has a diverse work experience in various industries. Juan Sebastian started their career as a Junior Civil Engineer at WH Consultores SRL in September 2017. In this role, they provided support in creating plans and reports for the design of highways, bridges, and roads, as well as designing road signs and pavement marks for a 17 km project.

After that, they worked as a Construction Engineer at COBOIN S.R.L. from July 2019 to June 2020. In this role, they were involved in construction projects and coordinating activities related to engineering processes.

Juan then transitioned to the technology sector, joining Jalasoft in November 2020 as an Internship Trainee. Here, they gained practical experience in automation engineering.

Juan Sebastian continued their journey at Jalasoft as an Automation Engineer - JCE Jalasoft Core Engineer from March 2021 to March 2023. In this role, they contributed to automation projects and gained expertise in automation frameworks and tools.

From 2022, Juan expanded their expertise into the field of education, working as an Education Mentor at Nos Gusta La Ciencia. Juan Sebastian provided guidance and support to students in their educational journey.

In 2022, Juan also served as an Automation Testing Trainer at Fundación Jala. Juan Sebastian conducted GUI automation testing training using Python and various tools like Gherkin, Behave, Selenium, and Robot Framework. Juan Sebastian covered automation testing strategies, architecture, POM, CI, and Docker.

Recently, in 2023, they joined Jala University as an Automation Testing Trainer. Here, they conducted GUI automation testing training and assisted students in building automation frameworks using tools like Selenium, Specflow, NUnit, Allure, Docker, and BrowserStack. Juan Sebastian also covered automation strategies, architecture, patterns, principles, and coding best practices.

Overall, Juan has gained experience in construction engineering, automation engineering, and education mentoring. Juan Sebastian has developed technical skills in automation testing, working with various tools and frameworks.

Juan Sebastian Ontiveros Gonzalez attended Universidad Privada Boliviana from 2012 to 2016, where they obtained a B. Eng. in Civil Engineering.

In addition to their degree, Juan Sebastian has obtained various certifications. In 2022, they completed the "100 Days of Code - 2022 Web Development Bootcamp" from Udemy. In 2021, they completed the "Object-Oriented Design" certification from Coursera and the "Frontend Desde Cero" certification from EDteam. In 2021, they also obtained certifications in "CCNA: Introduction to Networks," "Introduction to IoT," "Introduction to Cybersecurity," and "Scrum Foundation Professional Certificate" from Cisco and CertiProf.

In 2020, Juan Sebastian obtained several certifications from EDteam, including "Ajax y WebSockets," "CSS desde cero (2020)," "Flexbox y Grid," "GIT desde cero 2020," "JavaScript en el navegador," "Markdown Desde Cero," "Programación orientada a objetos con JavaScript," and "Pug desde cero." Juan Sebastian also completed the "JavaScript Desde Cero (gratis)" certification from EDteam.

In the same year, Juan Sebastian completed the "Learn C#" certification from Codecademy and obtained certifications in "HTML desde cero" and "Learn Data Analysis with Pandas" from EDteam and Codecademy, respectively. Juan Sebastian also completed the "Learn Git" certification from Codecademy.
