Rolando Lora's work experience begins in 2000 as a Web Developer and Solutions Engineer at Informatica Latina S.R.L. From 2004 to 2008, they co-founded and worked as a Software Engineer and Project Manager at La Constructora, developing custom web solutions for mid-sized companies. In 2008, they joined Jalasoft as a Sr. Software Engineer until 2012.
In 2012, Rolando became a Product Owner at Jalasoft Foundation, working part-time on the development of an application for the applied research program. Rolando held this role until 2017.
In 2014, Rolando co-founded Poolville LLC, a web platform for virtual soccer tournaments during the World Cup. Rolando also co-founded Clementina: Restaurant Panadería, a bakery and restaurant, where they worked as a co-founder and master baker until 2017.
In the same year, they co-founded box.com.bo, a cloud platform for micro and small businesses, where they served as a co-founder, software architect, and developer until 2022. Additionally, in 2014, they co-owned and produced films at Alphaville: Equipamiento Audiovisual, promoting the work of independent filmmakers until 2022.
Since 2018, Rolando has been working at Jalasoft as a Senior Software Engineer, specializing in architecture, design, and development across web technologies. Rolando has also played a crucial role as a project enabler in the R&D unit, working on the development of the multi-tenant data collection engine, Cosmic Latte.
Rolando Lora completed their Engineer's Degree in Computer Science from the Catholic University of Bolivia, where they studied from 1998 to 2004. Rolando has also obtained several certifications from Coursera, including certifications in Blockchain Platforms, Blockchain Specialization, Decentralized Applications (Dapps), Smart Contracts, Blockchain Basics, Modern JavaScript: ES6 Basics, Convolutional Neural Networks, Deep Learning Specialization, Sequence Models, Improving Deep Neural Networks: Hyperparameter tuning, Regularization and Optimization, Neural Networks and Deep Learning, Structuring Machine Learning Projects, and Machine Learning. The obtained dates for these certifications range from May 2016 to June 2022.
