Shana Schmitz

Shana Schmitz is an experienced professional with a diverse background in nonprofit management, administration, and outreach. Currently serving as Gambling Manager and Executive Director at the Ham Lake Area Chamber of Commerce since December 2015, Shana also holds the position of Executive Assistant/Bookkeeper at Jam Hops since September 2019. Previous roles include Outreach Coordinator at the North Anoka County Emergency Food Shelf, where responsibilities encompassed program development, grant writing, and donor relations, and Owner of Teks On-Site, managing various aspects of business operations. Additionally, Shana has held volunteer coordination roles with the Northwoods Humane Society, where efforts included community engagement and fundraising. Early career experience includes a position as Records Management Specialist at Thrivent Financial for Lutherans. Shana holds a B.A. in English and Psychology from the University of Montana and has a solid educational foundation with additional studies at Montana State University-Northern and Pacific Lutheran University.
