Aashish Patel, DO, MHCDS has extensive work experience in neurology and neurocritical care. Aashish currently holds the position of Adjunct Clinical Assistant Professor in Neurology/Neurocritical Care at the New York Institute of Technology. Prior to this, they served as a Clinical Associate Professor of Internal Medicine-Neurology at Ross University School of Medicine. Aashish also held the role of Director of Neurocritical Care at Jamaica Hospital. Aashish has worked as an Assistant Professor in the Departments of Neurology and Neurosurgery at the Donald & Barbara Zucker School of Medicine. Aashish has a background in Neurointensive Care and Stroke at Lenox Hill Hospital, where they treated and managed various brain and spinal cord emergencies and injuries. Aashish has also held leadership roles at JFK Health and Neurocritical Care Stroke of Arizona. In the earlier stages of their career, they served as a Neurology Consultant at DELTA LOCUM TENENS, LLC and completed their fellowship in Neurocritical Care at UT Southwestern Medical Center. Aashish began their medical training as an Intern and then proceeded to complete their residency in Neurology at Henry Ford Health System.
Aashish Patel, DO, MHCDS holds a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Neuroscience from Texas Christian University, which they obtained from 1993 to 1997. Aashish then attended Kansas City University from 2002 to 2006, where they earned their Doctor of Osteopathy degree. Aashish Patel further pursued their education at the Texas Heart Institute School of Perfusion Technology in 2000, obtaining a Post-Baccalaureate Certification in Perfusion Technology. Recently, from 2017 to 2019, they completed their Master of Health Care Delivery Science (MHCDS) in Health Care Management Education at Dartmouth. Additionally, Aashish Patel has obtained various certifications, including Advanced Cardiac Life Support, Diplomate in Neurology, and Emergency Neurologic Life Support Trainer, among others.
