Kevin Erickson

Adjunct Senior Research Fellow - Marine Biology at James Cook University

Kevin Erickson, PhD, currently serves as the Industry Development Lead for the Reef Restoration and Adaptation Program at the Australian Institute of Marine Science, focusing on innovative interventions for the Great Barrier Reef. In addition, Kevin holds multiple roles at James Cook University, including Adjunct Senior Research Fellow in Marine Biology, where responsibilities include fostering university-industry collaboration and lecturing on aquatic disease and biosecurity. Kevin's experience extends to advisory positions within various organizations such as the Great Barrier Reef Legacy and the Pet Industry Association Australia, as well as past leadership roles at the Marine Aquarium Societies of North America. Kevin's academic background includes a PhD in Marine Ornamental Biosecurity and a strong record of contributing to aquatic health and conservation research.
