Anthony Tongen

Anthony Tongen is the Vice Provost, Research & Scholarship at James Madison University. Anthony has held this position since July 2005. Prior to that, they were a Visiting Assistant Professor at the University of Arizona from July 2003 to July 2005. Before that, they were an Assistant Professor at Trinity International University from July 2001 to July 2003.

Anthony Tongen received their PhD in Applied Mathematics from Northwestern University, their MS in Applied Mathematics from Northwestern University, and their BS in Applied Mathematics from the University of Pittsburgh.

They work with and Elizabeth Oldmixon - Vice Provost for Faculty, Curriculum & Policy. Their manager is Heather Coltman, Provost & Senior Vice President, Academic Affairs.
