Anthony Tongen

Vice Provost, Research & Scholarship at James Madison University

Anthony Tongen has a vast and impressive background in various academic and research roles. Currently serving as Vice President of Research, Economic Development, and Innovation at James Madison University, Anthony has held numerous titles within the university including Professor, Chief Research Officer, Vice Provost, Associate Dean, and Associate Professor. Prior to their current role, Anthony also worked as an Assistant Director at the Mathematical Association of America and as a Visiting Assistant Professor at the University of Arizona and Assistant Professor at Trinity International University. Anthony holds a PhD in Applied Mathematics from Northwestern University, as well as a MS in Applied Mathematics and a BS in Applied Mathematics from the University of Pittsburgh.
