Brian Flota

Brian Flota is a Humanities Librarian and Associate Professor at Carrier Library, James Madison University, since August 2013. Prior experience includes roles at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign as a Cataloger in the Rare Book and Manuscript Library and various library positions, including Graduate Assistant Librarian at the Illinois Fire Service Institute and an intern at the National Library of Medicine. With a strong academic background, Brian holds a Master of Library & Information Science from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, a Ph.D. in English from The George Washington University, and a Bachelor of Arts in English from the University of California, Riverside. Previous teaching experience includes a Visiting Assistant Professorship at Oklahoma State University and adjunct roles at The George Washington University.
