Hon. Patrick Mahoney

Hon. Patrick Mahoney (Ret.) serves as an ADR Neutral at JAMS since March 2013, specializing in mediations and arbitrations across diverse matters. Previously, Mahoney served as a Judge at the San Francisco Superior Court from 2000 to 2013, where significant experience included overseeing settlement conferences on asbestos claims and employment discrimination cases, as well as facilitating Unified Family Court negotiations. Prior to this role, Mahoney was the Chief Trial Deputy at the San Francisco City Attorney's Office from 1992 to 2000, managing approximately 1,200 cases and resolving significant claims. Mahoney's legal career began as an Associate Attorney at Arent Fox from 1969 to 1972, followed by a partnership at Cooley LLP, where extensive litigation experience encompassed class action securities and environmental claims. Educational credentials include a Juris Doctor from the University of California, College of the Law, San Francisco, and a Bachelor's Degree in Political Science from Stanford University.
