Niels Vermeersch

Niels Vermeersch is an experienced professional in data protection and information security, currently serving as the Data Protection Officer and Information Security Consultant at Jan Yperman Ziekenhuis since January 2022. With a long-standing role as Chairman at vzw Groothertogdom Flandrensis since September 2008, Niels has also worked as an Intermunicipal Policy Officer for Information Security and DPO at WVI from May 2019 to December 2021, overseeing data protection for multiple local administrations. Previously, Niels held the position of Secretary for the Management Committee at Memorial Museum Passchendaele 1917 from November 2017 to April 2019 and provided administrative support to the municipal secretary at Gemeentebestuur Zonnebeke from December 2011 to April 2019, including a temporary appointment as Acting Municipal Secretary.
