Roman Makarov

Roman Makarov has extensive experience in network engineering and security, currently serving as a Manager of Network Security at Jane Street since December 2021. Prior to this role, Roman held the position of Network Engineer in Connectivity Deployment at Meta from August 2018 to December 2021, where responsibilities included IP network architecture and the full lifecycle management of connectivity products. Roman also contributed to the deployment and operations of a core network at Boldyn Networks from August 2015 to August 2018, focusing on Transit Wireless technologies. Earlier in Roman's career, as an RF Engineer at Vodafone from January 2012 to February 2015, responsibilities included the installation and testing of RF equipment to ensure the quality of service for subscribers. Roman holds a Master's degree in Computer Systems Networking and Telecommunications and a Bachelor's degree in Telecommunications Technology from Lviv Polytechnic National University.
