Dana Levine

Dana Levine has a diverse work experience in various roles and companies. In 2010, they worked as a Principal Engineer at Zecter, a startup that built cloud storage and content streaming solutions. Dana was one of the first engineers on the Zumocast product, which allowed users to stream video and music in real-time from their home computers to their iOS devices. In 2011, they co-founded Scaffold, a company backed by 500-Startups, where they served as the Co-Founder and CTO. Scaffold provided solutions for verifying people met online, with a premier product offering background checks for online marketplaces.

From 2012 to 2013, Dana was the Co-Founder and Director of Engineering at 42Floors, a YCombinator-backed startup that developed a search engine for office spaces. Dana helped organize the engineering team and built a platform for dispatching photographers to take pictures of listings. Following this, they worked as an Engineering and Product Consultant, helping companies solve problems and take products from idea to proof of concept. Some of their key skills during this time included the use of Ruby on Rails and AngularJS.

In 2014, Dana became the Director of Engineering at Wrap Media, a mobile-first marketing and commerce platform. Leading a team of six engineers, they were involved in the design and implementation of the engineering stack, including Rails, Angular, and Node. Dana also worked as a Product Manager at Amplitude, a data analytics company, where they launched a complete redesign of the data management UI and served as a tech lead for the core platform.

From 2021 to 2022, Dana held roles at Silicon Valley Software Group and Your Product Coach. At Silicon Valley Software Group, they were the Head of Product and CTO Consultant, helping companies innovate with emerging technologies. At Your Product Coach, they provided product consulting and coaching services to early-stage startups, helping them define and build their products and improve their engineering processes.

In 2022, Dana joined Jane Technologies, Inc. as the Lead Product Manager, where they are currently working.

Dana Levine holds an M.S. in Bioengineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), which was obtained from 2007 to 2009. Additionally, they obtained an MBA from the MIT Sloan School of Management during the same period. Prior to that, from 1998 to 2002, they earned an SB degree from MIT with a major in Cognitive Science and extensive coursework in Computer Science. Dana Levine has also completed various certifications in Machine Learning and Deep Learning, including the Deep Learning Specialization from Coursera in 2021 and the Reinforcement Learning Specialization from Coursera with various courses completed in 2023.
