Jason Kahana

Founder, Director, and President of R&D at January Therapeutics

Jason Kahana has a long and varied work experience in the pharmaceutical industry. Jason began their career in 2001 as a Senior Research Biochemist at Merck & Co., where they managed a group of 2-4 full-time associate scientists and was responsible for designing pharmacodynamic assays for kinase and protease activities from cells and animal tissue. In 2006, they joined GlaxoSmithKline as an Investigator. In 2008, they moved to Takeda Pharmaceuticals where they served as Principal Scientist and Group Leader for Immunology and Oncology Target Biology. In 2013, they joined Celgene as a Senior Principal Scientist. In 2016, they founded two companies, January Therapeutics and Integrity BioSolutions. At January Therapeutics, they serve as Founder, Director, and President of R&D, and at Integrity BioSolutions, they serve as President and Founder.

Jason Kahana attended Northwestern University from 1988 to 1992, where they earned a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in Mathematics. Jason then attended Harvard Medical School from 1993 to 1998, where they earned a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Cell and Developmental Biology.
