JOB SUMMARY

Janux Therapeutics is seeking a Director, Human Resources to lead and execute on talent acquisition and other HR initiatives for our growing organization.  This role reports to the Head of Human Resources.  In partnership with HR and business leaders, the incumbent will develop and implement new programs, systems and process optimization.  As an HRBP, the incumbent will form partnerships across Janux departments to deliver value-added services and counsel to employees and leaders.  

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Oversees and optimizes the talent acquisition function to ensure execution of the organization's growth strategy.
  • Partners with head of HR and other leaders to ensure successful implementation of the applicant tracking system (Lever) and other enhanced TA processes, including training and adoption.
  • Guides and gives input on business unit expansions and workforce planning.
  • In conjunction with head of HR and finance, recommends ways to evolve the compensation structure as part of leading the TA function.
  • Identifies and participates in initiatives to enhance Janux’s culture, including annual employee engagement survey, culture events and communications.
  • For specific departments, identifies learning and development initiatives to ensure growth opportunities as part of building a strong culture.
  • Provides day-to-day performance management guidance to line management (e.g., coaching, counseling, career development, and corrective actions).
  • Works closely with management and employees to improve work relationships, build morale, and increase productivity and retention.
  • Consults with line management and legal, providing HR guidance when appropriate.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

  • BS preferred plus minimum of 10 years of talent acquisition and HR generalist experience. MBA or masters in related HR field highly desired.
  • Working knowledge of multiple human resource disciplines, including talent acquisition, compensation, employee relations, diversity, performance management, and federal and state respective employment laws.
  • Requires a highly collaborative approach to address and solve problems in a growing company.
  • Excellent interpersonal as well as written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Compensation:

In addition to a competitive base salary ranging from $190,000 – $220,000, we offer stock options, RSU’s, a stock purchase plan (ESPP) and a target bonus.  Janux also provides a comprehensive benefits package for our employees and their families, which includes medical, dental, vision, and supplemental disability insurance. Relocation assistance may also be available.

Please note that individual total compensation will vary based on factors such as qualifications, skill level, competencies, internal equity and work location.
