Scott Frank

Managing Partner at JAROS BAUM AND BOLLES

Scott Frank serves as a Managing Partner at Jaros, Baum & Bolles. Since joining the firm in 1987, he has held a variety of technical roles related to HVAC and energy systems design as well as numerous leadership positions preceding his current senior leadership role in the firm. He has served as a design engineer and Partner-in-Charge for a wide range of commercial and institutional projects throughout the U.S. and around the world, including feasibility studies and master plans. Through this diverse project experience across a variety of sectors and markets, Mr. Frank has successfully led the design of many innovative and first-of-their-kind solutions for the firm’s vast array of clients.

Mr. Frank has had a career-long passion for sustainability, which led to his establishment of the Sustainable Design practice at JB&B and his continuous involvement in sustainability issues ever since. He has been extremely active in policy, education, and research on environmental issues in the built environment, including serving as a founding board member of the New York City Chapter of the U.S. Green Building Council (now Urban Green Council, of which he is immediately past Board Chair), as well as serving on the NYC Mayor’s Greening the Codes Task Force; the Sandy Resiliency Task Force; the One City: Built to Last Technical Working Group, which planned for city-wide carbon emission reductions of 80% before the year 2050; the NYC Sustainability Advisory Board; multiple terms on the NYC Energy Code Advisory Board; and most recently, on the NYC Local Law 97 Advisory Board, which is charged with rule-making for implementing this landmark carbon reduction legislation.

Mr. Frank holds a Bachelor of Science and a Master’s degree in Engineering from Cornell University. He is a licensed Professional Engineer and is a LEED Accredited Professional.
