Miguel Cordova, PMP, has a diverse range of work experience in the oil and gas industry. Miguel began their career at Pioneer Natural Resources Company, where they served as a Drilling Engineer before transitioning to the role of Operations Engineer in the Permian Asset Team. During their time in these positions, they implemented innovative solutions such as using potassium chloride and calcium chloride to prevent clay swelling and successfully executing repairs on problematic wells.

Cordova then moved on to become a Reservoir Engineer in the Midcontinent Asset Team, where they oversaw a large number of gas wells in the Hugoton Field. Their responsibilities included forecasting reserves, managing ARIES databases, and optimizing shrink and yield calculations. Miguel also played a key role in reducing PUD count without any loss of booked reserves.

In their next role as an Operations Excellence Engineer in the South Texas Asset Team, Cordova directed various process improvement and optimization projects for Eagle Ford and Edwards horizontal and vertical wells. Miguel achieved notable accomplishments, such as increasing the number of trained employees and improving workover rig schedules.

As an Asset Integration Lead in the Enterprise Asset Management Division, Cordova led field teams in gathering facility equipment data and integrating assets into an Oracle EAM database. Their efforts resulted in substantial cost savings and the development of asset categories and hierarchies for all teams.

Moving to Presidio Petroleum, Cordova served as an Engineering Consultant and later as an Efficiency Engineer. In these positions, they led projects related to data centralizing and analytics, non-operated well expenses and revenue management, budgeting, and forecasting. Cordova developed analytical dashboards and implemented continuous improvement best practices, resulting in improved coding systems, metrics tracking, and labor cost allocation.

Currently, Cordova works as a Corporate Development Engineer at Javelin Energy Partners, a Crescent Energy Company. Miguel continues to contribute their expertise in project management and engineering support.

Miguel Cordova, PMP, graduated from Texas A&M University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Petroleum Engineering, completing their studies from 2003 to 2007. In addition to their formal education, Miguel obtained various certifications to enhance their professional skills. Miguel completed the "Project Management Professional (PMP)®" certification from the Project Management Institute in February 2020. Prior to that, in December 2019, they obtained the "WCS - Workover-Completion, Coiled Tubing, Snubbing, Wireline Surface - Supervisory" certification from the Well Control School. Moreover, Miguel also took the "Access 2019 Essential Training" and "SQL Essential Training" courses from LinkedIn in September 2020. These additional certifications highlight their commitment to continuous learning and professional development.
