Shane Beardsley, CVP, has a diverse background in various industries and positions. Shane currently holds the position of Vice President of Guest Experiences at Javits Center since February 2022. Prior to that, they worked as an Adjunct Professor at Manhattanville College starting from January 2020.
From 2018 to 2022, Beardsley served as the Director of Venue Operations at The Howard Hughes Corporation. Before that, they were the Senior Director of Operations and Events at Webster Bank Arena at Harbor Yard from 2011 to 2018.
Beardsley has also worked in academia, holding positions as an Associate Professor at Southern Connecticut State University from July 2015 to April 2016, and as an Adjunct Professor at Sacred Heart University, University of New Haven, and Southern Connecticut State University from 2013 to 2015.
In the early stages of their career, Beardsley gained experience as the Director of Group Sales and Community Relations at Bridgeport Sound Tigers from 2004 to 2011. Shane also worked as the Manager of Charity Fundraising and Community Outreach at Steiner Sports Marketing from 2001 to 2004, and as an Account Executive - Inside Sales at New York Mets from 1997 to 2001.
Shane Beardsley, CVP holds a Master of Science degree in Sport Administration from Manhattanville College, which they obtained from 2010 to 2012. Prior to that, they obtained their Bachelor of Science degree in Sport Management from State University of New York Cortland, where they studied from 1993 to 1997. In addition, they have obtained a certification as a Certified Venue Professional from the International Association of Venue Managers.
