Richard Thomas

Richard Thomas has worked in various financial roles throughout their career. Richard started their professional journey as an Articles trainee at Deloitte, where they worked from 1997 to 2000. Richard then joined Morgan Stanley as a Senior Financial Manager, where they stayed for seven years before joining Deutsche Land as a Consulting Financial Accountant for a brief period in 2007. Richard then moved to the Kelly Group in 2008, initially as a Group Finance Executive and later as a Group Executive in charge of project implementation. In 2014, they joined CAVI Brands as a Group Financial Manager and later became the Financial Director. From 2017 to 2019, Richard served as the Financial Director at Dermalogica. Richard then worked as a Self-Employed Contractor, providing consulting services as a Financial Director. Currently, Richard is the Head of Finance at Jawitz Properties, where they have been since the beginning of 2020.

Richard Thomas attended the University of Cape Town from 1991 to 1995, where they obtained a Bachelor of Business Science (Finance) degree. In 1997, they completed an Honours Bachelor of Accounting Science program at UNISA. Richard also graduated from St John's College in 1990 with a Matric qualification. Additionally, they hold a certification as a Chartered Accountant (CA(SA)) from the SA Institute of Chartered Accountants.
