S. M. Azmat

S. M. Azmat has over 40 years of diverse work experience in the hospitality industry. S. M. is currently serving as the President of Jaypee Hotels & Resorts in New Delhi since July 2014. Prior to this role, they worked as the General Manager of various hotels, including The Park Hotels and Hotel Ambassador Ajanta. S. M. also gained international experience as the Food & Beverage Manager at The Oberoi in Saudi Arabia. In addition, they successfully completed a specialized hotel management program in Japan through Hokke Club Hotels. Overall, their experience encompasses a wide range of managerial positions in the hotel industry.

S. M. Azmat has a diverse education background. In 1974, they attended Delhi University where they pursued a Bachelor of Arts (Honors) in Economics. Following this, from 1977 to 1980, Azmat enrolled at the Institute of Hotel Management in Pusa, New Delhi, where they completed a degree in Hotel Management. Later in 1982, they attended the Kyoto Japanese Language School in Kyoto, Japan for a four-month full-time program and obtained a certificate in Japanese Language.
