Linguist, Quality Assurance and Voice Talent (Cantonese) at JBI Studios

Shirley Au has held various roles in the media and entertainment industry since 2007. Shirley began their career as a Linguist, Quality Assurance and Voice Talent (Cantonese) at JBI Studios, where they worked on New York City 411 Hotline IVR, Ralph Lauren Training Video, Healthport Medical System IVR, and ES&S Auto Mark Voting System IVR. In 2011, they began working at Rogers Media as a Media Preparation Coordinator. That same year, they began working at Results Advertising (Toronto) as a Voice Talent (Cantonese) for Cheong Kwan Jang Korean Red Ginseng, THE FACE SHOP, iTalkBB, Great Mountain Ginseng, Power 7 Team Realtor, J Addison School, Niagara Falls Real Estate, and Empire Midtown. Shirley also worked as a Video Editor for the same company. In 2011, they began working at Harbourfront Productions as a Voice Talent (Cantonese) for Ashley Furniture, Clinique, Ontario.ca, City of Toronto, Freestyle Libre, and Humber College. In 2016, they began working at Maruti Multilingual as a Voice Talent (Cantonese). In 2017, they began working at Glyph Language Services as a Linguist, Quality Assurance and at VoiceBox Multimedia LTD as a Voice Over Talent (Cantonese). In 2016, they began working as a Kpop Social Media Specialist. In 2017, they began working as a Musical Script Writer and Print Layout Designer for BE MY STAR. In 2015, they began working at Cool FM as a Kpop Podcast "K BAP" Program Host and Producer.

Shirley Au began their educational journey in 1993 when they attended The Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts, where they earned a Diploma in TV/Film Production with a focus in Music and Audio Production. Shirley then moved to Pasadena City College in 2000, where they earned an Associate Degree in Telecommunication with a focus in Radio/TV/Film Production. Finally, in 2002, they attended California State University, Fullerton, where they earned a BA in Communications with a focus in Entertainment Studies. In June 2022, they obtained a certification in Python for Non-Programmers from LinkedIn.
