Cantor Mark Horowitz

Chief People Officer at JCC of Greater Buffalo

Cantor Mark Horowitz has a long history of working with Jewish Community Centers (JCCs) and JCCs of North America. Cantor Mark began their career in 2008 as the Vice President of Program and Talent for JCCs of North America, where they served until 2022. During this time, they also briefly worked as the Director of Early Childhood Education. In 2022, they joined the JCC of Greater Buffalo as the Chief People Officer. In 2023, they moved to the JCC of Greater Buffalo as the Chief Operating Officer.

Cantor Mark Horowitz holds a Masters degree in Philosophy of Education from the University at Buffalo, an EdM in Philosophy of Education from Buffalo State University, and a DM in Sacred Music from HUC-JIR. Cantor Mark also completed a Masters program in Religious/Sacred Music at Hebrew Union College - Jewish Institute of Religion. Additionally, they attended Hebrew Union College-Jewish Institute of Religion-New York.
