Maria Locicero

Maria LoCicero is currently a Graduate Student Instructor at the University of Michigan, teaching Comm 271: Revolutions in Communication. In addition to this role, Maria is a Law Student and MAP Scholar at the University of Michigan Law School, where participation in the Michigan Access Program enhances leadership skills in social justice. Maria also serves as a JD Advising Scholar, receiving mentorship during the first year of law school. Prior experience includes a Summer Associate position at Stoel Rives LLP, and a leadership role as the Juan Luis Tienda 1L Representative at the Michigan Latinx Law Students Association. Previous roles include serving as a Team Leader at City Year, supporting students' academic and emotional needs, and a Fellow at Braven, focusing on workforce skills. Maria has taught drama and public speaking at The Webb Schools and has experience as a Camp Counselor at Fred's Camp, where developmentally appropriate activities were designed and swimming lessons were taught. Maria holds a Bachelor's degree in History and Arts & Ideas in the Humanities from the University of Michigan.
