Kaeli Gattens

As Director of ESG for the JDS Group of Companies, Kaeli leads value generating environment, social, governance strategies to help clients exceed their sustainability goals.

Kaeli has nearly a decade of multinational experience in the mining, heavy equipment, construction, government, and technology sectors. Her career began at Goldcorp Inc., where she demonstrated value through strategic investor and community stakeholder engagement. In 2015, Kaeli was seconded to lead change management and training in Mexico to accelerate the adoption of centralized technology systems across Goldcorp’s LATAM operations.

Kaeli went on to work for Finning Digital, VRIFY Technologies Inc., Canada’s Digital Technology Supercluster, and Sun Peak Metals Corp. where she helped influence the future of mining by implementing digital transformation efficiencies, attracting new industry investment, driving workplace inclusion, and championing the positive benefits mining brings First Nations and local communities.

Kaeli currently sits on the Executive Committee for Women in Mining BC as well as the BC Special Olympics Golf Tournament Committee. She is fluent in Spanish, holds a Graduate Diploma in Business Administration from Simon Fraser University, a Bachelor of Political Science and Economics from the University of Victoria, as well as a Diploma in Intercultural Communication and ProSci Change Management.
