Christopher Jackson has over three decades of work experience, starting as a Machinist Mate 1st Class in the US Navy from 1989 to 1999. Christopher then transitioned to work as a Fire Protection Analyst at Engineering Planning and Management, Inc. in 1999. Moving on, they spent fourteen years at Comcast Cable, where they held the role of Manager, Customer Service. In 2014, they joined JEA, initially serving as the Manager of the Business Support Center before becoming the Manager of Billing Support Services. Their most recent roles at JEA include Interim Director and current Director of Customer Revenue.

Christopher Jackson attended Naval Machinist Mate "A" School in 1989 where they earned a Certificate in Naval Machinist Mate. Christopher then went on to complete Naval Nuclear Power School in 1989, obtaining a Certificate in Naval Nuclear Power Plant Theory. Later, in 1990, they received a Certificate in Naval Nuclear Power Plant Operation from the Naval Nuclear Prototype Training Unit. Additionally, they pursued General Studies at McKendree University from 1987 to 1988. Finally, Christopher completed their education with a BS in Business Management from the University of Phoenix between 2006 and 2011.
