Brian R. Mitra Ed.d.

Brian R. Mitra Ed.D. serves as the Vice President of Student Affairs & Enrollment Management at Queensborough Community College since July 2021. In addition to this role, Brian is an External Contributor and Subject Matter Expert for The Jed Foundation, providing guidance on mental health, substance use, and suicide prevention initiatives in community colleges. Brian has also been a Clinical Instructor at Stony Brook University since August 2021, teaching professional ethics in healthcare. Prior experience includes roles at Kingsborough Community College, where Brian held multiple positions culminating as Dean of Student Affairs, overseeing various student services and programs. Brian earned an Ed.D. in Adult Education from Teachers College, Columbia University, and holds multiple degrees in health science and education.
