LaSheka Payne

LaSheka Payne has a diverse and extensive work experience in the legal field. LaSheka began their career in 2002 as a Judicial Law Clerk for the 12th Chancery Court District, where they served as a law clerk to the Honorable Jerry G. Mason and the Honorable Sarah P. Springer.

In 2003, they joined Morris, Schneider & Prior, LLC as an Attorney, a role they held until 2007. LaSheka then became an Attorney at Adam M. Goodman, Standing Chapter 13 Trustee for the Northern District of Georgia, where they worked until 2012.

In 2012, LaSheka Payne established their own law firm, The Payne Law Office, where they served as the Owner and Managing Attorney. LaSheka continued in this role until 2014 when they joined Bleecker Brodey & Andrews as Of Counsel. LaSheka remained in this position until 2018.

LaSheka Payne's most recent work experience is as In-House Counsel at Jefferson Capital Systems, LLC, a position they have held since October 2018. Throughout their career, they have demonstrated expertise and success in various legal roles.

LaSheka Payne obtained a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in English Literature (British and Commonwealth) from The University of Southern Mississippi, which they attended from 1994 to 1998. Following this, they pursued their Doctor of Law (JD) degree at the University of Mississippi School of Law from 1999 to 2002. In terms of additional certifications, LaSheka Payne obtained the Mississippi Bar License in 2003 and the Georgia Bar License in 2006. Furthermore, they obtained the Accredited Claimants' Representative certification from the Department of Veterans Affairs in February 2013.
