Jaya Alakkat has over 20 years of experience in IT service management, change management, and business administration. Currently, as the Head of Global IT Service Management and ServiceNow Platform at JELD-WEN, Inc. since 2018, they are responsible for the overall ITSM strategy and delivery of IT services globally. Prior to this, they worked as the Head of IT Service Management at American Tire Distributors from 2015 to 2018, where they established operational processes and procedures, reviewed their effectiveness, and implemented strategies for improvement. At Family Dollar from 2011 to 2015, they served as an IT Change Manager and Project Manager, overseeing change management policies, hosting change control meetings, and handling infrastructure and software changes. Earlier in their career, they worked as a Business Administrator at Summersky Enterprises LLC, where they directed and oversaw financial and budgetary activities, analyzed performance indicators, and implemented cost-effective practices. Jaya also gained data analysis and programming experience as an Oracle Developer and Data Analyst at DST Innovis from 1999 to 2002, where they supported data mapping, conversion, and loading, developed utilities, and created reports and forms using Oracle Developer. Overall, Jaya Alakkat possesses a diverse range of skills and experiences in IT service management, change management, business administration, and data analysis.

Jaya Alakkat earned an MBA in Business Administration from the University of Phoenix from 2008 to 2010. They also obtained a BSc in Physics from the University of Calicut from 1987 to 1990. Additionally, Jaya has obtained certifications including the ITIL Foundation v4 Certificate from PeopleCert, ITIL Service Strategy from PEOPLECERT, and the Oracle Internet Application Developer certification from Oracle University.
