Alec Blacklaw has a diverse work experience spanning various industries and roles. Alec is currently the General Manager and Director at Jellis Craig Port Phillip, where they help create profitable and valuable outcomes in property for clients. Prior to this, Alec served as a Match Commissioner for Football Victoria, overseeing football matches in the National Premier League. Alec also founded and served as the CEO of Blacklaw Advisory, a leading business advisory firm that assists privately held and family business owners in achieving their goals. Alec has extensive experience in the field of accounting and legal alliances, having served as an Area Representative for MSI Global Alliance for ten years. Additionally, they founded The Business Improvement Program, an initiative aimed at helping business owners operate extraordinary businesses. Alec has also held positions as a member of the Board of Directors at Perth Theatre Company and as a Director and Partner at McKinley Plowman and MSI Marsdens. Prior to these roles, they were the Associate Director of Business Improvement and Strategy at Armada and the Founder, Partner, and CEO of BMK Partners Accountants and Advisors. Alec Blacklaw has a diverse education history. Alec attained a Bachelor of Economics with a major in Accounting and Taxation Law from Monash University in April 1985. Alec further pursued the CPA Australia Program, focusing on Ethics, Strategy, Tax, and Change Management, which they completed in an unspecified year. Alec also acquired various certifications throughout their career, including becoming a Certified Practising Accountant through CPA Australia in July 1990 and obtaining the Tax Agent designation from the Tax Practitioners Board in July 1985. Additionally, they attained the Australian Company Director certification from the Australian Institute of Company Directors in July 2000. Alec expanded their skills by attending the Scotwork 2 Day Intensive Negotiation Masterclass offered by Scotwork Australia in August 2008. Most recently, in September 2021, they acquired the Agents Representative certification from the Real Estate Institute of Victoria (REIV).
