Richard Thomas

Richard Thomas has over 14 years of experience in the visual effects (VFX) industry. Richard has held various leadership roles in renowned companies such as Jellyfish Pictures, where they currently serve as the Head of 3D. Prior to that, they were the Head of 3D (VFX) at Jellyfish Pictures. Richard also worked as a CG Supervisor at Framestore, where they managed a team of up to 20 artists and played a key role in setting high standards creatively and technically. Richard served as a Technical Director, Supervisor, and Artist at Analog Studio, executing high-quality work and establishing efficient workflows. As the Joint Head of 3D at Freefolk, Richard led a growing team and focused on pipeline development and maintaining quality control. Richard also served as a VFX Supervisor at Electric Theatre Collective and held lead and senior 3D artist positions at The Mill. Richard's career began as a 3D Artist at Man vs Machine and as a freelance 3D Artist.

Richard Thomas obtained a Bachelor's Degree in Fine Art and History of Art from Goldsmiths, University of London, from 2001 to 2004. Subsequently, they pursued a Postgraduate Diploma in Fine Art from the Royal Academy of Art Schools between 2005 and 2008.
