Tom Bell

Tom Bell is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in the energy and commodities sectors. Currently serving as the Head of Met Coal Origination at JERA Global Markets since July 2025, Bell has previously held key positions at Anglo American from June 2008 to July 2025, where responsibilities included leading strategy, origination, and projects, as well as managing physical trading and regional sales in Asia-Pacific. Bell played a critical role in developing the Energy Solutions commercial platform, focusing on coal, emissions, and LNG trading, and led numerous initiatives in business strategy and transformation toward lower carbon energy products. Prior experience includes roles in sales and marketing at ExxonMobil and a position as a process chemist at AstraZeneca. Educational credentials include an ExxonMobil Graduate Development Programme from London Business School and an MSci in Chemistry from the University of Bristol.
