Stephen Oommen

Stephen Oommen is a skilled project manager with extensive experience in environmental management and quality control. Currently employed at Jernbanedirektoratet since January 2019, Stephen is leading a conceptual study focused on reducing greenhouse gas emissions in the railway sector. Prior to this role, Stephen served as an environmental advisor at Møre og Romsdal fylkeskommune, where responsibilities included environmental management systems and energy and climate planning. Stephen’s background also encompasses positions as a project and quality coordinator at Vikenco AS, a quality coordinator at Lerøy Hydrotech AS, and a restaurant manager at Oslofjord Convention Center. Academically, Stephen holds a Master of Science in Industrial Biotechnology Management from Université catholique de Lille and a Bachelor of Science in Plant Biology and Biotechnology from Loyola College in Chennai, India.
