Jack Piper is a Climate Justice Coordinator focused on Community Partnerships and Development at Jesuit Social Services since January 2021. Previously, Jack served as a Water Resource Officer for the Department of Environment, Land, Water and Planning from September 2019 to February 2021 and held the position of Business Development Manager at Local Roots Farms, a company specializing in indoor modular farming, from January 2017 to October 2018. Jack's experience also includes roles as a researcher at Baray Urban Agriculture and the Arid Lands Institute, where the focus was on urban agriculture and water-smart design, respectively. Prior experience encompasses a leadership role in Research and Development at Dresden, an optics company, and an internship at the National Society for Earthquake Technology - Nepal. Educational qualifications include a Master's degree in Environment, Climate Change from the University of Melbourne and a Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering (Structures) from the University of Sydney.
