Juan Leiguarda

Juan Leiguarda has had a varied career in software engineering, beginning in 2008 with Bizit Global as a Project Manager and Full Stack & Mobile Developer. In 2013, they joined MuniDigital as a Frontend Javascript Developer, where they were responsible for architecting and implementing product features over the full technology stack. In 2016, they worked as a Full Stack Javascript Developer for Viridis Learning Inc., a SaaS platform that connects community colleges & their students to workforce boards & local employers based upon verified skills. Juan also worked as a Frontend Javascript Developer for Infolots in 2017. In 2021, they joined JetBridge as a Full Stack Engineer. Most recently, they were the Lead Full Stack Engineer at ThirdLove, where they worked as Tech Lead of a scrum team responsible for the Fitting-Room quiz, a tool that helps customers find the best fit of curated bras. Juan worked with React and libs like npm, Typescript, Jest, Styled-Components, Babel, and Webpack in the frontend, and Node, Express, Typescript, Apollo Server (GraphQL), Docker, and Redis in the backend. Juan deployed services and apps on an AWS stack, used Cloudflare as a reverse proxy and CDN edge server, and implemented Continuous Deployment using CircleCi and GitOps. Juan also conducted Speed & Performance tests using Dareboost and Lighthouse, Log analytics using Datadog & Bugsnag, and A/B testing using Dynamic Yield. Juan contributed to an in-house Design System built using Storybook and Lerna, and assessed candidates as part of the recruitment process of the company.

Juan Leiguarda obtained a Bachelor Degree in Software Engineering from the Universidad Tecnológica Nacional between 2000 and 2007, with a focus in Computer Software Engineering.
