David Allison has worked in the field of lighting design for over 10 years. In 2012, they began working as a Freelance Lighting Designer, providing contextual research and coordinating all details pertaining to the design. In 2013, they were a Summer Electrics Intern at the Contemporary American Theater Festival. From 2014 to 2015, they worked as an Electrics Assistant at the Arkansas Repertory Theatre and as an Electrics/Audio/Video Assistant at The Clarice Smith Performing Arts Center at The University of Maryland. In 2017, they took on the role of Senior Student Success Specialist at General Assembly, where they mentored students in building skills in software and data. Currently, David Allison is a Software Engineer at Jetty, beginning in 2022.
David Allison obtained a High School Diploma from Gonzaga College High School in 2010. David then went on to earn a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in Technical Theatre/Theatre Design and Technology from the University of Maryland in 2014. In 2021, they completed a Certificate of Completion in Software Engineering Immersive Flex from General Assembly. In 2022, they obtained a Software Engineering Immersive Remote (Flex) certification from General Assembly.
