Simone van der Meer

Simone van der Meer is a seasoned dance professional with extensive experience in various roles within the dance community. As Co-Founder of CANVAS Dance Arts since January 2021 and a Dance Teaching Artist at Dance with Ms Simone since April 2020, Simone specializes in virtual youth dance offerings and outdoor private lessons. Additionally, Simone serves as a Dance Instructor and Dance School Administrator at the Jewish Community Center of San Francisco since November 2011, and has experience as a Certified Buti Yoga Instructor from 2016 to 2021. Previous positions include Certified Pilates Instructor at Core Pilates and Physical Therapy and Gymnastics Coach at San Francisco Gymnastics. Simone also held the role of Student Director at University Dance Theater and studied costume design. A graduate of San Francisco State University with a Bachelor's degree in Dance and Costume Design, Simone is committed to blending artistic expression with education in the field of dance.
