Petra Katzenstein

Petra Katzenstein is an accomplished professional in the field of museum management and education, currently serving as the Manager of Development & Special Projects at the Jewish Cultural Quarter since March 1990. Notably recognized as the initiator of the award-winning Children's Museum in Amsterdam, Petra played a pivotal role in developing a children's museum in Cape Town for the South African Jewish Museum. Additionally, Petra advised the Educational Team at the Jewish Museum Berlin in creating its Children's Museum and co-developed the educational method I ASK, aimed at fostering open dialogue and broader perspectives among museum visitors. Serving as Vice President of Hands On! - International Association of Children in Museums since 2012 and previously as Manager of Education at the Jewish Historical Museum from 1990 to 2012, Petra combines extensive experience with educational expertise, further enhanced by studies in Drama Therapy, Psychodrama, and Social Science.
