Leah Schechter

Leah Schechter currently serves as Chief Program Officer at Elayne and James Schoke Jewish Family Service of Fairfield County, a position held since February 2021. In addition, Leah has been the Director of Volunteer Services and Donor Relations at MetCouncil on Jewish Poverty since August 2018 and has a long-standing role as Singles Outreach Coordinator at Jewish Family Service, where involvement began in 2010. Prior to these roles, Leah was the Assistant Director at UJA-JCC Greenwich from January 2013 to August 2018 and served as Assistant Director of Education at Temple Israel in Westport, CT from July 2009 to June 2011. Leah earned a Bachelor's degree in Philosophy from Boston University (2001-2005) and a Master of Science in Non-Profit/Public/Organizational Management from The New School.
