Debbie Bass, MPA, CFRE is an experienced fundraising professional with a track record of success in various organizations. Debbie is currently serving as the Chief Development Officer (CDO) at the JFS of Greater Kansas City. Prior to their current role, they were the Vice President of Development at the National WWI Museum and Memorial, where they played a key role in managing the museum's diverse collection and promoting its mission. Before that, Debbie served as the Associate Director of the Foundation at Shawnee Mission Medical Center, where they successfully raised $2.5 million for a capital campaign. Debbie also held the position of Associate Director at the TMC and Truman Medical Center Charitable Foundation, where they led staff and volunteers in a $55.2 million capital campaign and supported various philanthropy initiatives. Debbie's extensive work experience demonstrates their expertise in fundraising and their dedication to advancing important causes.
Debbie Bass, MPA, CFRE completed their Bachelor of Science degree in Human Resources at Northwest Missouri State University from 1984 to 1988. Debbie then pursued their Master of Public Administration, specializing in Non-Profit Management & Human Resources, at the University of Missouri-Kansas City from 1988 to 1993. In 1993, they obtained the CFRE certification from the National Association of Fundraising Executives and subsequently obtained the CFRE Certification from CFRE International in June 1995. Additionally, Debbie became a Certified Foster Parent through the Missouri Family Support Division and Kansas Department for Children and Families in August 2000, a certification they held until 2008.
