Joanna Mendelson's work experience includes various roles at the Jewish Federation of Greater Los Angeles, where they currently serve as the Senior Vice President of Community Engagement. Prior to their current position, they worked at the Anti-Defamation League, where they held multiple roles, including Associate Director of ADL's Center on Extremism and Senior Investigative Researcher and Director of Special Projects. Joanna also served as an Investigative Researcher and Director of Special Projects at the Center on Extremism and Assistant Director in the Southeast Region.
Joanna Mendelson obtained their Dual Bachelors of Arts degree in Interdisciplinary Studies (Conflict-Resolution) and Spanish from Emory University, where they studied from 1996 to 2000. Additionally, they received certifications in "Advocating for Change in Your Organization" and "Confronting Bias: Thriving Across Our Differences" from LinkedIn, in March 2021 and February 2021 respectively. Furthermore, Joanna obtained a certification in "California POST Presley Institute of Criminal Investigation Instructor's Training" from the Peace Officers Standards in April 2005.
