Zev M. Hurwitz has had a diverse range of work experiences in various organizations. Zev M. has been the Director of Synagogue and Rabbinic Outreach at The Jewish Federation of Greater Los Angeles since 2023. Prior to this role, they were an Associate and Associate Director at the Jewish Scholastic Press Association from 2022 to 2023. From 2018 to 2022, they served as the Director of Campus Affairs at the American Jewish Committee (AJC). Zev M. also gained experience as a Civil Rights Intern at the Anti-Defamation League from 2017 to 2018. At the UCLA Luskin School of Public Affairs, they worked as a Writing Assistant from 2016 to 2018. Additionally, they held positions at the American Jewish Committee (AJC) as an Interim Assistant Director of International Relations and a Goldman Bridge Fellow from 2015 to 2016. Zev M. started their career as a Student Assistant at the University of California San Diego in 2014 and later served as a Constituent Affairs Intern at the Office of the Governor - California. Zev M. also worked as a District Intern at U.S. Senator Dianne Feinstein's San Diego District Office and as an Editorial Intern at Jewish Journal, all in 2014.
Zev M. Hurwitz began their education journey in 2011 at UC San Diego, where they pursued a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science, specifically focusing on American Politics. This foundational education spanned from 2011 to 2015. After completing their undergraduate studies, Zev advanced their education by attending the UCLA Luskin School of Public Affairs from 2016 to 2018. During this period, they pursued a Master's degree in Public Policy. Finally, Zev expanded their knowledge in a specific area of interest by attending The George Washington University from 2021 to 2022. Here, they completed a Certificate program in Israel Education.
