Denise Austin Phr

Denise Austin, PHR, SHRM-CP has a diverse and extensive work experience in the field of human resources. Denise currently serves as the Human Resources Director at the Jewish Federation of Omaha since July 2021. Prior to this, they held the position of Director of Compensation & Benefits at Eastern Nebraska Human Services Agency from May 2019 to April 2021. In 2019, they worked as an HR Specialist - ER/LR at the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs from January to May. From January 2017 to January 2019, they were the Manager of HRBP at Nebraska Total Care - Centene Corporation. Before that, they held the role of Human Resources Manager at Jack Link's Beef Jerky from September 2013 to January 2017. Denise also gained experience as part of the human resources team at Douglas Omaha Technology Commission (DOTComm) from March 2007 to September 2013 and as a Human Resources/Assistant at Union Pacific Streamliner FCU from October 1999 to January 2007. Denise Austin, PHR, SHRM-CP holds a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Human Resources Management from Bellevue University. In addition to their degree, they have obtained several certifications in the field of human resources. In December 2012, Denise Austin earned the Professional in Human Resources (PHR) certification from the HR Certification Institute (HRCI). Denise also obtained the SHRM Certified Professional (SHRM-CP) certification from the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM) in January 2015.
