Matthew Troy

Matthew Troy is an accomplished leader with extensive experience in fundraising and nonprofit management. Currently serving as the Senior Director of Development at the Jewish Federation of Palm Beach County since 2025, Troy has successfully led a fundraising team that raised over $20 million. Previously, Troy held the position of Director of Strategic Engagement at Worldreader in 2023-2024, focusing on enhancing digital reading access in under-resourced communities. As Executive Director at hackNY.org from 2019 to 2022, Troy connected software engineers with startups, fostering a vibrant tech community. Troy also served as Executive Director at Boys & Girls Clubs of America from 2015 to 2019, where operational income tripled, and directed development efforts for Kids Creative in 2014-2015. Earlier roles include Government Relations Manager at Lincoln Center for the Performing Arts during a significant redevelopment project and Manager at Kasirer LLC, managing client relationships and advising on policy. Troy holds a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from Drew University and has furthered education at Columbia Business School.
