Michelle Wachtel

Michelle Wachtel has a diverse work experience in the non-profit sector. Michelle has worked as a Senior Director of Campaign at The Jewish Federation of Greater Washington since 2018. Prior to that, from 2011 to 2018, they served as the Director of Development Operations & Donor Services at Hillel International. Michelle also had a two-year term as a Member of the National Board of Directors at HIAS, where they co-chaired the organization's Core Values Task Force. Michelle's earlier experience includes working as a Senior Area Director of Advocacy and Education at the Jewish National Fund from 2006 to 2011.

Michelle Wachtel obtained a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in Education & Judaic Studies from the University of Massachusetts Amherst. Michelle completed their undergraduate education from 1999 to 2003.

Subsequently, Michelle pursued a Master of Public Administration (MPA) degree in Non-Profit/Public/Organizational Management at the New York University, Wagner School of Public Service. Michelle completed their postgraduate education from 2005 to 2008.
