Jennifer Lightman has a diverse work experience spanning various industries and roles. Jennifer currently holds the position of Vice President of Marketing & Communications at Jewish Philanthropies of Southern Arizona. Prior to this, Jennifer served as the Director of Communications and Special Projects at Perelman Jewish Day School from August 2019 to June 2023. Jennifer has also worked as an Arbitrator for FairClaims, where they reviewed evidence and conducted video hearings for online dispute resolution cases from June 2019 to December 2021. Jennifer has experience as a Substitute Teacher at ESS from January 2019 to June 2019. Jennifer also worked at PA Divorce Mediation as an Attorney, Coach, and Mediator, helping divorcing couples reach settlements and preparing legal documents from April 2018 to January 2019. From 2014 to 2018, Jennifer ran their own coaching practice, Lightman Coaching Partners, where they worked with businesses and individuals through transition. Jennifer also owned and managed Pinot's Palette - Lower Merion, a franchise paint and sip studio, from April 2015 to June 2017. Jennifer began their career as an Attorney, working for Sony Pictures Entertainment and Mitchell Silberberg & Knupp LLP, where they provided legal counsel, taught employee education programs, and represented clients in various employment matters. Jennifer also participated in Goldman Sachs' Returnship Program, a 10-week internship designed to bring professionals back to the workplace after a career break.

Jennifer Lightman attended Harvard Law School from 1992 to 1995, where they obtained a Doctor of Law (JD) degree. Prior to that, they studied at the University of Pennsylvania from 1988 to 1992, earning a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in International Relations and Affairs.

In addition to their formal education, Jennifer has obtained various certifications. In November 2018, they completed the Youth Mental Health First Aid USA program provided by the National Council for Behavioral Health. In April 2018, they received training in Divorce & Child Custody Mediation from the Good Shepherd Mediation Program. In February 2018, they completed the Business and Employment Mediation program offered by Mediation Matters. Jennifer also holds a Professional Coaching Certification from MentorCoach LLC, which they obtained in September 2014.

Furthermore, they obtained a Bar Admission from the California Bar Association in November 1995. This certification allows their to practice law in California. Most recently, in July 2019, they received an Emergency Permit Day-to-Day Substitute All Instructional Areas (K-12) from the Pennsylvania Department of Education.
