Lawrence Yu

Lawrence Yu serves as the ESD Group Manager and Senior Sustainability Engineer at JHA Consulting Engineers since February 2011, focusing on sustainable building services, innovative design, and regulatory compliance. Prior to this role, Lawrence founded Ecohaus Benchmark for Homes Pty Ltd, developing a sustainability rating system for Australian homes. Experience as an ESD Engineer at Cundall included client presentations, preparing ESD reports, computational modeling, and project management. Earlier positions included Energy Assessor at Energy Doctor Pty Ltd, where consulting and energy audits were key responsibilities, and Research Assistant at the Centre of Excellence for Silicon Photovoltaics, involving laboratory experiments and report writing. Lawrence holds a Master of Engineering Science in Electric Power Engineering and a Bachelor of Engineering in Photovoltaics and Solar Energy from UNSW, complemented by coursework through Coursera.
